System:Doctor

A detailed knowledge of medicines, minor surgery, etc., and a licence to practice. If more than one point is spent, the character has knowledge of a specialty (such as surgery) and the appropriate qualifications. This Skill may not be acquired in the course of play, unless several years pass between adventures. E.g. Doctor (dentist).

A Doctor can perform First Aid on Wounds as the first step in Healing, as can someone with the First Aid Skill, but only a Doctor can also improve recovery times.

Since Doctor is a Difficult Skill, and therefore begins at a lower level than First Aid, it may be worth considering taking both skills for maximum effect.
